We only raise standard size Goldendoodles due to issues in genetic health when mating a small poodle with a large Golden Retriever. Our Doodle puppies mature to 50-60 pounds.
Poodles are highly intelligent water retrievers and are therefore great mates for a game of fetch or an afternoon of water sports. Our standard poodles average 50-60 pounds. They stand 23-27 inches in height. They do not shed. Our poodles have been tested for the following: hip and elbow dysplasia, VonWillebrands disease, Addison’s Disease, Sebaceous Adenitis, and eye ailments. Our poodles have also had all possible health testing completed before allowing to mate. Average life span of a standard poodle is 12 years.
Golden Retrievers are just as their name states; retrievers who are devoted, friendly and intelligent. Golden’s stand 22-24 inches at the shoulder and weigh 55-75 pounds. The do shed. Our Goldens have been tested for hip and elbow dysplasia, canine Icthyosis and current health health. Average lifespan of a Golden Retriever is 10-12 years.
Goldendoodles have gained in popularity in the past years. We are protective of our lines as we have spent much time and effort to assure a healthy doodle. We have proudly completed all heath testing recommended.
When mating a purebred poodle to a purebred Golden Retriever the offspring is noted as the fl generation, or first generation. These puppies have coats that may indeed shed. They are often a bit blockier in build as they have equal parts of poodle and golden in their genetic makeup. On occasion we do produce this fl generation.
More often, our doodles are of the flb generation. This occurs when a fl goldendoodle is bred back to a standard poodle. Sort of like two parts poodle and one part golden. This generation does not shed. Most often ours are of apricot color as we use our red standards for breedings.
We have doodles doing an amazing job of therapy work as they thrive when working. If you are purchasing a doodle for your family, do consider gaining the AKC Canine Good Citizenship certificate. You will have a well rounded dog who will be able to enter the therapy world, become a reading buddy at school, visit nursing homes and become sensitive to the needs of special children.

All puppies are current on dewormings and vaccinations. They each have an AVID microchip inserted between the shoulder blades for positive identification.
